Historic England owns Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings, the first ever iron-framed building and the prototype for skyscrapers around the world.

The Historic England Foundation raised money to repair and bring this building back into public use and is continuing to raise funds for ongoing educational activities and the restoration of the wider site.

Name a brick

By donating £250 you can have your name, or the name of a loved one, engraved on a brick on the terrace at the front of this important site. Our paving bricks are a unique gift that will last for many years to come.
